During a Skype conversation today with my aunt who lives outside the Philippines, she told me how she was reduced to tears when she happened on the UERM video with a woman escaping from inside a car onto its roof while more than a dozen other floating vehicles all around are being carried every which way by the flood. I showed her this video of a family of around eight+ surfing on a roof made of galvanised iron as it rushes towards a bridge, with only one man resurfacing on the other side. S
